Teleconference 33 (Beta): Former GBTA Executive Director & COO Mike McCormick
August 27, 2020 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm EDT
Before he left the Global Business Travel Association in 2019 and was replaced under unusual circumstances, Mike McCormick led the organization for nearly ten years as executive director and COO. On Aug. 27, he’ll make his first industry appearance in more than a year during a conference call hosted by The Company Dime.
Subscribers to TheCompanyDime.com may scroll down to register and listen in as The Company Dime’s Jay Campbell and David Jonas query McCormick about GBTA, what’s next for him, the pandemic crisis and corporate travel management’s future.
We’ll take questions, too.
McCormick joined GBTA in 2009 after a variety of roles in travel, including four years as a consultant with Hudson Crossing, three years as an exec with Cendant (Orbitz, Travelport), three years as COO of Phocuswright, two years as president of early dotcom startup Biztravel.com and 11 years at Rosenbluth International, which he ultimately served as senior vice president for supplier relations.
About The Teleconference
No one has all the answers but it’s nice to connect. Join The Company Dime’s community for a unique conference call on what’s new in travel management, what’s new in business life and what’s in the news.
Here’s how it works: Subscribers to TheCompanyDime.com may click “Going” below to register for the session. As the Teleconference starts, Uberconference will call you. Please enter below the U.S. (no AK or HI) or Canada number we should dial to connect you to the conference at start time. (From somewhere else and want to participate? Email us for the workaround.) It will also send you a number and PIN code to use in case you don’t answer right away. You can load up the website using the same PIN. (Check “View or present screenshare only” if you’re connecting by phone. Or you can decline to check that and instead of using the phone, connect your audio via your browser. Most are compatible.) Also please note, Uberconference is not related to Uber.
Registration closes on the morning of the event or when we fill up, whichever comes first.
What to expect:
• You can ask questions in the chatbox.
• This is a conference call, not a video call.
• Please note that your presence will be visible to other participants.
• This call will be recorded and transcribed, and it is all on the record.
Talk to you soon!
